Parent's Day Celebration!!
Yesterday our church celebrated Parent's Day.Its was a fun and the kids(PKC) really enjoy the time that they can spend with their parents.It started at 4.15pm.(Supposed to be 4pm,but u know..Malaysian)Oh well,Kids are asked to serve their parents,while their parents can order anything to eat.(Cool right?)Anyway..We were all so touch(at least I was) seeing all the kids like Jethro,Kevin,Kerwin,Abel and even other kids serving their parents..(even baby Joshua gave his mom a sandwich!!) So shame on the Oshers la..especially me..I'm feeling terrible d.
After the tea,we had worship!!Eric lead the worship with songs like Pharaoh Pharaoh,Whose side are you leaning on?,Making melodies in my heart and Jesus cares for me.The kids and all the parents took part in the worship,doing actions and jumping around.Its was so fun to watch.Hannah was on the piano,Ian on the bass,Daniel on the drum and I was doing the singing.
After that,there was a presentation prepared by Daniel with words said by kids to their parents..all the parents were touched by the short yet sincere message.Then Auntie Dorothy delivered a short presentation by telling us to be like a dog and not a cat.Cats think they're God when you treat them well,whereas dogs think you're God when you treat them well.
Games were next,we(Hannah and I) prepared games to look for the best dad,best mom and best kid.First was dad's,those four who volunteered or was volunteered by others were ask to prepare a dish with the ingredients given.The winner was Uncle Christopher.Next up,Mom's game..They were ask to dressed up like dad's,wear a working shirt and a tie a tie and later solve a math equation prepared by Hannah.The winner was Auntie Poh Lin..Hannah,you're secret is safe with me!!=) Finally the kids game,they were to gather three to a group.The first was to hang a working shirt on the clothes line,Second was to take it down and lastly fold the shirt neatly.The winner was Justin,Abelyn and Ethan.
Lastly,price giving ceremony.Price were awarded and those who didn't want to go home yet were given a chaance to play Captain ball with the osh people.Daniel and Ian bullied everyone(Tsk Tsk).After that we went home!!Tired but super happy!!!
