Wind of change in Malaysia..

Nicholas was so right..agree with ya totally!!!got part of this from him too..enjoy!!

As quoted by Lim Kit Siang earlier in his blog, political tsunami in general election.

The Rakyat has demonstrated the Makkal Shakti which saw the fall of 4 other states to the hands of the Opposition.

Penang, Selangor, Kedah and Perak have all fallen to the Barisan Rakyat, which consist of the three main opposition parties, DAP, PKR and PAS. Not having to mention that Barisan Nasional has also once again failed to wrestle control of Kelantan from PAS, which has ruled the state for 18 years.

The result was definitely exciting at first, seeing DAP-PKR-PAS toppling the ruling coalition in several state and parliamentary seats like dominos. However it soon became abit scary as they just can’t seem to stop winning!

82 parliamentary seats. That was the total amount of seats occupied by the Barisan Rakyat now. A slap in the face for Pak Lah? An outcome of their arrogance, Barisan Nasional has been in power for so long that they have forgotten about their grass root support, the people. In terms of State Assemblies, Barisan Rakyat wrestled control of some 196 seats. Their biggest win ever since 1969.Definitely a wind of change..but all this happen because God allowed it.

Teresa Kok enjoyed a record breaking win in the Seputeh parliamentary seat. Much thanks to the personal attacks launched by Carol Chew, her BN opponent earlier in the week perhaps? 36,000 votes difference. That, is total ownage.

Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi managed to secure his Kepala Batas seat by an 11,000 votes difference(which is not much-he's the prime minister le..the majority was so low!!) whereas Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak also enjoyed victory in Pekan. Education Minister, Dato Seri Hishammuddin Hussein secured victory as well and so did UMNO Youth Deputy Chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, who is also the son-in-law of the Prime Minister in Rembau after a recount.(I personally dislike Khairi alot!!!)

Although Barisan Nasional has crossed the simple majority of 112 parliamentary seats to be able to form the next government, the loss of their 2/3 majority and 4 other states will definitely serve as a very BIG wake up call to the ruling coalition and to also re-evaluate their leadership.

As quoted by MCA President, Datuk Ong Ka Ting, “The results are shocking because there are several states which BN has lost. However, MCA accepts the decision of the voters because it is their right,” and further added that they will do a detailed study on the defeat.

On the side note, our Subang Jaya DUN candidate, Hannah Yeoh has outbattled her BN opponent, Ong Chong Swen for the seat, with a difference of 13,000 votes. Loh Gwo Burne has also managed to wrestle the Kelana Jaya parliamentary seat from MCA’s Lee Hwa Beng and Independent Billie Lim, winning with a 5,000+ votes difference.

And when people like Lee Hwa Beng and Sharizat made those kind of speech that only a sore loser would make..its really an embarassment..Lee Hwa Beng is a christian somemore..haiz..

And while everyone is open to the idea of a new ruling party in some state..in Perak..The sultan has allowed a christian to be the leader but was strongly oppased by the PAS..ca they(PKR,DAP,PAS) really work together??or will there be more trouble??

But a friend did say something i find important..our country definitely can't get any worse than the state were in..And so..we just sit back and see what the Barisan Rakyat can do..

the bully
